Japanese restaurant Okiboru has a new location on the way to the Atlanta market. It is heading to Town Center Plaza in Kennesaw, according to reporting by Tomorrow’s News Today Atlanta.

The ramen restaurant opened in Sandy Springs in 2020. It also has locations in Duluth, Buckhead and Mall of Georgia, as well as three restaurants in New York.

The restaurant serves Michelin-recognized ramen. It aims to bring tsukemen — or “dipping ramen” — to its customers. Tsukemen serves noodles on the side separate from the broth. Okiboru makes all its noodles in house, and the brand brews its broth twice as long as traditional ramen broth to make it ideal for dipping.

“We are thrilled to bring Tsukemen to a wider audience of eaters and to innovate upon the traditional art to suit the diverse dietary needs of modern customers,” the Okiboru website states. “In addition to the traditional pork Chashu, we offer a side of grilled pork ribs which are marinated for hours and grilled to add the perfect amount of smoky flavor. Our chefs have also worked hard to create a delicious vegetarian broth which is available in both our Tsukemen and ramen dishes.”

Menu items include various ramen options as well as sides like garlic edamame, Shoyu brussel sprouts and garlic nori fries.

The new location will be near Paris Baguette, Marshalls and Kirkland’s Home.

As of now, an exact opening timeline remains unclear. Efforts to obtain comment from the ownership team prior to publication were unsuccessful.
