Kevin Gillespie, the chef and owner behind Red Beard Restaurants, in a press release Friday announced plans for Ole Reliable, a pop-up restaurant planned for Georgia-Pacific Center, at 133 Peachtree Street.
It will serve coffee and tea, along with limited breakfast and lunch items starting early June.
Old Reliable will replace Aramark in the 52-story office tower and will operate as a takeaway dining spot.
It’s unclear how long the “interim” eatery will stick around.
“I’m really excited about setting up shop downtown and providing the hard-working folks at Georgia- Pacific Center with a morning pick-me-up or a midday meal,” Gillespie said in the release.
“This is our first foray into coffee which I love and have been obsessed with for years. It’s also fun to have a chance to serve our guests during the day, as currently we only serve dinner at our restaurants.”
Ole Reliable will be open to the public, and guests can expect coffee from local Atlanta coffee roaster Docent, plus Gillespie’s seasonally inspired fare in a to-go format for breakfast and lunch hours.
