The pizzeria near Georgia State University announced the news on its Facebook page.

The Original Hotdog Factory will soon replace Slice Piedmont Downtown, according to signage at the space.

The pizzeria on its Facebook page also announced the news.

“Thank you for your support at Slice! We are now The Original Hot Dog Factory…,” according to the social media post late-September.

The restaurant serves beef, turkey, polish and soy hot dogs, in addition to burgers, fries, chicken wings and sandwiches, and deep fried desserts.

Dennis McKinley, owner of The Original Hotdog Factory, in an email Wednesday to What Now Atlanta confirmed the news.

The new outpost, at 75 Piedmont Ave NE, will be the restaurant’s second corporately-owned store and is expected to open December 1, he said.

The Original Hotdog Factory’s original location is in Smyrna.
