Park 27 Korean BBQ in late-2019 will replace Kuroshio (and Steel before that) in The Plaza Midtown, at 950 West Peachtree Street NW.

Kuroshio closed its doors in February.

Park 27 is from the same family that operates and owns Aomi Japanese, a hibachi restaurant with locations in Alpharetta and Norcross.

Sarah Jordan, a leasing representative for landlord InvenTrust Property Management, LLC, answered What Now Atlanta’s questions on behalf of Park 27 Owner Doo Park.

Park and his family speak English as a second language.

“Park 27 will combine the owners’ traditional Japanese restaurant with a Korean BBQ twist,” Jordan said.

“We are excited to get them in Plaza Midtown as they are experienced operators with an excellent history of delivering high-quality food and service to their patrons.”

On the menu will be dishes like bulgogi, spicy pork, samgyupsal (grilled pork belly) and beef brisket, as well as Korean BBQ sides such as kimchi, stir-fried zucchini, and cucumber salad.

For “professionals needing a quick meal,” the restaurant will offer bento boxes and lunch specials.

An estimated $300,000 is expected to be spent building out the 4,848-square-foot space, according to a recently-filed permit application.

Publix-anchored The Plaza Midtown is home to restaurants including Pita Pit, Marlow’s Tavern, and Pho King.

The center is 100 percent leased.
