Restaurant group’s director of marketing tweets “sneak peek” rendering of soon-to-open seafood joint.
The newest concept from Fifth Group Restaurants is nearing its grand opening.
“Just a [little] over 2 months to go until she sets sail,” Michael Erickson, director of marketing for Fifth Group, tweeted Wednesday.
Lure will be the group’s seventh restaurant (in addition to South City Kitchen midtown and vinings, La Tavola Trattoria, Ecco, The Orignal El Taco, and the recently opened Alma Cocina).
The casual seafood spot replacing the now shuttered Vickery’s on Crescent Ave., is expected to open mid-July, according to Erickson.
David Bradley was recently named executive chef.
That’s odd – the rendering doesn’t take into account the two trees out front that are in the large planters. Guess plans changed.
We can’t wait. A hip Seafood Restaurant is needed in Midtown. Many great memories of Vickery’s.
What do you suppose was the purpose for releasing this rendering? It doesn’t really offer any useful information about the coming restaurant. It also contains a rather obvious modelling error. Sheez.

Anyone who makes a statment like this…isn’t.
@Blurbanist AGREED. Pretty soon Crescent Ave is going to smell like the Seattle fish market.
…P.S. If they got rid of the fireplace I’m going to be pissed!
