New dining concept dining-in-the-dark event “Pitch Black” is coming to Atlanta this summer.
While little was disclosed about the “secret location”, the event will take place sometime in July.
“We are delighted to announce the launch of the new concept dining in the dark experience “Pitch Black” in the U.S,” Shelley Allen from Hidden Media Network said in an email to What Now Atlanta. “This event has already sold out in Australia and we are excited to bring you a COVID safe event that can be enjoyed by anyone.”
The idea behind dining-in-the-dark is that the dark heightens the diners’ senses making for a more pleasurable experience, according to the press release.
The focus is instead on taste, smell, mouthfeel, and sound, as well as promoting the art of conversation.
Diners will have a choice of two set menus and although secret, dietary requirements and allergies can be catered for.
Tickets cost $80.00 per person and include 1x drink and a decadent two-course meal and can be found here: bit.ly/3thYCLJ.
Each diner lasts 90 minutes and a live host will reportedly be entertaining diners with multiple games and challenges centered around the sensory experience.
