Okiboru will expand its footprint in the city this year, with plans to join Ponce City Market this spring, according to a release. This location will join the other seven already open for the brand.
Sushi chef Sean Park and restaurateur Justin Lim founded the concept in Los Angeles in 2018. The spot is known for its traditional ramen and tsukemen offerings, gaining recognition as a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand award winner.
The menu at the Ponce City Market location will offer tsukemen and ramen with house-made noodles as well as appetizers and rice offerings. The beverage program will offer cocktails, sake, lagers and craft beers, and nonalcoholic options such as soft drinks and teas.
Existing locations for the ramen concept include spots in Sandy Springs, Buckhead, Duluth and Buford, as well as three locations in New York.
Another restaurant from Park and Lim, sushi restaurant NoriFish, also has a location on the way to Ponce City Market this year. There is also a new location for Okiboru on the way to Kennesaw.
