Pour Intentions Wine Bar is heading to the Fox Theatre area, co-owner Joseph Dennis shared with What Now Atlanta. He and his business partner are in the process of finalizing a lease on an 800-square-foot space.
The concept will feature a variety of wines that customers can enjoy alongside charcuterie and dessert offerings. There will also be wine bottles available for purchase. In addition to their usual offerings, Dennis envisions monthly wine-pairing dinners.
Dennis and his partner were inspired to bring the concept to the community due to what they viewed as a scarcity of wine bar options that fit what they were looking for in a concept.
“I wanted to create a space that I wanted to go to and that my friends wanted to go to,” Dennis said. “There are a lot of spaces here in Atlanta where the food is off, the drinks are off, the vibe is off or the music is off. You may find one of those or two of those, but not all [of them]. So we want to create that space.”
Customers can expect a contemporary design with artistic elements. Dennis’s goal is to upend the traditional wine bar atmosphere, which can come across as stuffy or unapproachable, and to bring “an uptempo vibe” to the concept. There will also be an outdoor space for customers to enjoy.
Though the timeline for opening depends on licenses and permits, Dennis hopes to open by the end of September.
