The Renaissance Atlanta Airport Gateway Hotel this week revealed its in-house restaurant concept, Hickory and Hazel Southern Table and Bar.

Located in the Gateway neighborhood at Camp Creek Parkway near the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and the historic downtowns of College Park and East Point, Hickory and Hazel is slated to open May 2017 at the forthcoming hotel.

Hickory and Hazel will feature a 2,976 square-foot “open concept” floor plan with access to the hotel lobby.

“…Whether staying the night or stopping by for a drink, Hickory and Hazel will offer visitors an opportunity to discover an experience that is uniquely Atlanta,” Donelle Zunker, dual general manager of Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway and Renaissance Atlanta Airport Gateway hotels, said in the release.

“Evenings at Renaissance is our way of engaging the curious minds and feeding the imagination from hosting interactive painting classes and wine tastings to featuring emerging local musicians and artists.”

In addition to Evenings at Renaissance, Hickory and Hazel will also launch Bar Ritual, a sharable cocktail experience in which guests are invited to enjoy a complimentary signature punch four nights a week while learning about bar ingredients and techniques.

Hickory and Hazel will seat 106 guests and serve up dishes like sweet tea-brined chicken and waffles, and grilled bourbon cider pork chops with potato puree and glazed Vidalia onions.

The Hickory and Hazel culinary talent and menu will be announced soon.

The new Renaissance Atlanta Airport Gateway Hotel is under construction and slated to open May 2017. The property will boast 204 guest rooms and 6,500 square feet of meeting and event space including a 3,345-square-foot ballroom with natural light.
