Gelateria to replace Smoothie King.

Repicci’s Real Italian Ice, specializing in frozen treats that are fat free, cholesterol free and dairy free, is replacing the recently closed Smoothie King at 10th and Piedmont.

Its Midtown location will be Repicci’s first retail space in Georgia though it is positioned with distributors across the state. Sources indicate that Daryl Dollinger, President & Co-Founder of Atlanta-based Raving Brands, is the franchisee for this Atlanta location.

Repicci’s will serve Italian ice in the following options: eight ounce cups, four ounce push tubes, one and a half gallon pail and four gallon pail.

It will also be serving premium “select” popcorn, gelati, soft-served gelato and Italian roast coffee.

Its coming soon sign also indicates, separate from it website, that it will also be serving smoothies. Interesting, considering the previous tenant was a nationally recognized smoothie joint that failed.
