Expect fried chicken in three varieties: Classic, Hot, and “Richards’ Hot.”
At the end of June, Brewed to Serve Restaurant Group will open Richards’ Southern Fried in Krog Street Market.
Teaming with Todd Richards, Executive Chef of White Oak Kitchen & Cocktails, the partnership behind Richards’ Southern Fried is an “extension of the White Oak Kitchen & Cocktail’s Southern soul,” and aims to be a “sophisticated twist” on the concept of a Southern fried chicken shack.
Richards’ Southern Fried will feature a counter-service format, fitting for Krog Street Market.
Chicken will be available in Classic, Hot, and “Richards’ Hot” styles and in a sandwich that includes pimento cheese and pickled vegetable slaw along with fresh, seasonal sides.
The space was designed by Smith Hanes Design, the studio behind the Optimist, No. 246, and the R Hughes’ Atlanta Showroom.
“We have made tremendous efforts to respect the sustainability of the concept, from sourcing all-natural chicken to using biodegradable, starch-based packaging, to how we have hired and treated our employees,” reflected Richards in a statement. “Even though we know its all about the chicken – it’s really about the love and community that the history of fried chicken holds.”
