“] and Mike Plummer of Southbound originally announced the opening date of their new concept, Rosa’s Tex-Mex Revival, to be in May of 2015, in the space formerly occupied by Chamblee Bistro at 5480 Peachtree Road in downtown Chamblee.
Zagat even named them as a most anticipated restaurant opening for Fall of 2015, and then again for 2016.
There have been several more recent comments on the restaurant’s Facebook page asking about an opening date, all unanswered. A guest post from Tuesday mentions that the person saw someone working on the roof the day before.
When the restaurant does open, Southbound’s chef, Beth Colvin, will be serving up items including tacos, tortas, fajitas, ceviche and more. Kynan Kohli will be managing the mixology, with drinks such as horchata, Mexican beers, and margaritas.
The latest planned opening date is unknown, but we are keeping a close eye on when that may be.
Averill was unavailable for comment.
