Rreal Tacos has a new expansion in the works. Just as they are preparing to open their Beltline location with a grand opening on Sept. 15, the local taco brand is setting its sights on Woodstock, with plans to open a location in a 5,600-square-foot space at 8558 Main Street.
“We’ve been looking at something down there for a while,” CEO Damian Otero told What Now Atlanta. “I think it’s a great market and it’s got everything we want — Main Street, downtown, a corner unit, a patio, unlimited parking — so it just makes a lot of sense.”
The Woodstock location will mark the 12th unit for the brand, which has existing locations in Sandy Springs, Midtown, Cumming, Chamblee, West Midtown, Sugar Hill, Buckhead, Decatur and Lawrenceville.
The menu features authentic Mexican cuisine, offering a variety of tacos, quesadillas, tortas, burritos, tostadas and nachos. Taco fillings range from asada to pork belly.
Otero said that they are aiming to open the new spot in March. They plan to launch the location with a big celebration where they hope to host 2,500 locals to kick off Rreal Tacos in the community.
“We’re going to give it 100% and we’re going to make sure Woodstock is very proud of its new addition,” Otero said. “We’re not coming just to be another chain that pops in there. We’re going to put our blood, sweat and tears into this.”
This location marks a pivotal point for the local taco brand as a whole. Otero said that after the Woodstock opening, they will be largely finished expanding in the area.
“This is the final location before we leave the state,” Otero said. “After this, we’re done with Atlanta unless something ridiculously good shows up.”
Moving forward, the team is setting its sights on other major cities across the Southeast such as Tampa, Nashville, Charlotte and Miami.
“We work with partnerships. Our managers, chefs and bar managers own pieces of the locations so we cannot stop the growth because then we’re stopping everyone else’s growth,” Otero said. “So we have to continue to grow. That way our team continues to grow.”
