Guess Who Isn’t “As Fit As A Butchers Dog?”

“The franchisees that own all four metro Atlanta Ruth’s Chris Steak Houses are adding two more in South Carolina, and more may be on the way locally,” according to an article published in May in the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

The article goes on to say that Mark and Nancy Oswald, the Ruth’s Chris franchisees here in Atlanta now own Ruth’s Chris Myrtle Beach, S.C., and bought the development rights to Charleston, S.C.

Though a Ruth’s Chris Steak House is slated to open by early 2011 in Charleston, what the franchisees neglected to mention in their interview is that they are closing their location in Sandy Springs.

With other Ruth’s Chris restaurants in downtown Atlanta, Buckhead, Sandy Springs and Kennesaw, the Oswalds mentioned in the interview that they were “interested in opportunites north in Alpharetta.”

Restaurant Insiders have confirmed that with the closure of the Sandy Springs location will come the opening of an Alpharetta location.

Ruth’s Chris Sandy Springs is scheduled to close in August of this year or shortly after.
