Sankranti Indian Kitchen will continue to expand in metro Atlanta.

A permit was just filed in Atlanta to bring the fast-casual concept to Tech Square in Midtown. It would come to 85 5th St. NW, the Technology Square Research Building.

The restaurant would take about 1,500 square feet, with a buildout cost estimated at $300,000, according to the permit.

Sankranti founder Srinivasa Nimmagadda did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the new location. A spokesperson for the restaurant brand also did not immediately respond.

Nimmagadda recently announced another location near Emory University, set to open in the first quarter of 2023.. The first location of Sankranti Indian Kitchen opened earlier this year in Dunwoody.

The Indian restaurant offers a variety of curry bowls, karma rolls, veggie samosas, salads and desserts.

“Our menu reflects the diversity of aromatic spices from both southern and northern regions of India, and our fast casual approach is affordable and allows guests to experiment and build exciting, custom meals to their liking,” Nimmagadda said in a recent press release about the Emory Village location.
