Jinya will open in the Berkley Heights apartment complex.
Masa Hayakawa, the restauranteur behind Doraville’s Shoya Izakaya, will open sister concept Jinya Izakaya in West Midtown.
Hayakawa this week filed plans with City of Atlanta to convert existing restaurant space, at 1700 Northside Drive, into the Japanese eatery.
Jinya will open late Summer in the Berkley Heights apartments complex, Hayakawa told What Now Atlanta (WNA) in a telephone conversation Monday.
An estimated $85,000 will be spent readying the 2,568-square-foot space for Jinya Izakaya.
