Marco Betti, co-owner of Antica Pasto, has plans to open Silvano Pizza in Buckhead.

The restaurateur is eyeing space formerly occupied by Buckhead BBQ, at 25 Irby Ave NW, for the new pizzeria.

Buckhead BBQ closed its restaurant earlier this month, now operating solely as a catering business.

The single-story, standalone space sits in the shadow of The Gentry, an under-construction, 20-story tower from Lennar.

Betti, when reached Tuesday by What Now Atlanta on the telephone, would not comment on the plans.

“I need a month more before commenting,” Betti said before hanging up.

Buckhead Village, where the restaurant would be situated, has seen a spike in recent development.

New restaurants in the area include Cafe PoshIberian Pig, and a soon-to-open Woody’s Cheesesteaks.
