After announcing it would expand to Atlanta nearly a year-and-a-half ago, Nashville’s Slim and Husky’s Pizza Beeria this week will open its first-to-market restaurant.
Atlanta’s new Slim and Husky’s will debut Thursday, May 9 at 10:30 a.m. in the former One Rooster space, at 1016 Howell Mill Road, the Atlanta-Journal Constitution first reported.
A teacher’s appreciation event—a soft-opening of sorts—is being held all-day Monday, May 6.
Slim and Husky’s bills itself as a “fast-casual and gourmet pizza joint serving up artisan pizzas and unique cinnamon rolls made with locally sourced ingredients.”
The “hip-hop-inspired spot” founded by three Nashville natives aims to “invigorate less touched areas of the community through employment opportunities and accessible dining experiences including locally brewed craft beer and innovative pizza creations.”
The restaurant’s menu is centered around build-your-own pizzas.
An Adair Park location will open late-fall 2019.
It is being built from the ground up, at 581 Metropolitan Parkway SE.
Great friendly and numerous staff, but gawd the “pizza” is awful. The crust is barely breadlike and definitely not pizza like. Way overcooked and unpleasant to eat. Spicy red sauce tasted like salty tomato paste. The fresh mozzarella was ruined by being burned.
