According to a liquor license application, the Star Metals Residences (SMR) development will be getting its own bar, SMR Tap. The drinking spot, at 1050 Howell Mill Rd, will apparently not include dining, as there will be no kitchen, but will serve beer and wine, the applications state.
Nathan Hedges, the Managing Director for Miami-based firm The Allen Morris Company, is listed as the agent for the SMR Tap concept. The Allen Morris Company is the firm developing the Westside residential mixed-use. The 3,500-square-foot space will seat up to 40 patrons and open on the development’s ground floor, joining the recently-opened Prevail coffee shop.
The Allen Morris Company earlier this year said it would be making more tenant announcements soon for the residential mixed-use which sits as part of the larger Star Metals development. Until then, additional details surrounding SMR Tap are scarce including when the new watering hole might open its doors.
Not even a bowl of peanuts???
Brewpubs as a rule do serve food with their beer. This one’s not a brewery, more like Hop City at KSM, lots of drafts with no food. Although at KSM you can always find something to eat nearby.
Oh wow just what ATL needs another beer garden how exciting
