1221 Hospitality is bringing a new restaurant to Atlanta. SPICE Atlanta will open at 1230 W. Peachtree St NW, Suite 130, in Midtown. Nana Atakora-Bediako, co-founder at 1221 Hospitality, told What Now Atlanta that they are hoping to open at the end of April.

“We’re excited to be part of the Midtown renaissance,” Atakora-Bediako said. “I feel like there are a lot of cool restaurants coming or that are already here. This area is the next dining boom in Atlanta and I hope to be a member of that.”

SPICE Atlanta will aim to build on the success of Spice Charlotte, which opened in 2023.

“We wanted to expand into larger markets with the success in Charlotte,” Atakora-Bediako said. “This was the obvious next step.”

The 5,100-square-foot space will feature a contemporary chic design, including elements of stone, wood and greenery. The menu will offer premium protein dishes such as steak, lamb and fish, alongside other offerings such as shishito peppers and roasted corn.

“The first goal is to do well in this market,” Atakora-Bediako said. “We want to knock this one out of the park, and then after that, maybe do some more in the area and expand to other large markets.”
