James Maggard and Jason Hylton, the guys who bought Pallookaville from Jim Stacy in early 2016 and then shuttered the corn dog eatery in November, are opening The Stratford Kitchen + Bar in its place.

Decaturish late-last week first reported plans for the family-friendly pub. Hylton in an email to What Now Atlanta Thursday confirmed the news.

The Stratford Kitchen + Bar will open its doors to the public January 3 after two nights of “friends and family,” Hylton said.

Lunch will be served Wednesday starting at 11 a.m.

The pub will have “many TV’s” and serve up “all kinds of delicious pub bites, from smoked wings and sandwiches to specialty entrees.”

The Stratford will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, according to a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

Maggard and Hylton have a history of restaurateuring together. The duo opened Local No. 7 in Tucker and today own and operate Matador Cantina in Oakhurst.
