Sugar Factory and Chipotle are starting to take shape in the 12th and Midtown development.

Construction has begun on the forthcoming sugar-centric eatery and quick-service Mexican grill.

A wooden barricade littered with “coming soon” signage now lines the sidewalk along the construction path.

Both restaurants are set to open late-2019 in the 1010 Midtown building, at 1080 Peachtree Street NE.

What Now Atlanta first uncovered plans for Sugar Factory Midtown in early-2018.

The company filed a permit application a few months later.

Sugar Factory is opening in corner space previously occupied by Mi Cocina.

Chipotle, long-rumored to be opening in the development, filed its first permit at the end of 2018.

Better Homes and Gardens is also opening an office in 1010 Midtown, according to newly-surfaced marketing materials for the development.

The Atlanta-based real estate firm will be situated in suite 13B.

Three spaces remain available for lease—5, 9, and 13C—on the ground-level of the 35-story condo tower.

Other restaurant tenants include Ri Ra, The Federal, Ra Sushi, and Panera Bread.

Ribalta closed in the development at the end of 2018.
