UPDATE (Aug. 8, 2019): Nick Cannon To Spin DJ Set at Sugar Factory’s Grand Opening in Midtown September 27

Sugar Factory American Brasserie is moving forward with plans to open its first Georgia outpost in Midtown.

A permit application Friday was submitted to the City of Atlanta to build out the 8,000-square-foot eatery and confectionary shop in the 1010 Midtown development, at 1080 Peachtree Street NE.

Sugar Factory will replace the now-shuttered Mi Cocina in suite 10, a two-level corner space.

An estimated $280,000 could be spent “extending” the lower bar area and adding an “addition” of the mezzanine level.

Sugar Factory, founded by Charissa Davidovici, has 20 locations worldwide—from Miami to Dubai—and is known for its “celebrity couture pops,” smoking candy cocktails and “over-the-top desserts.”

An exact opening timeline has not been set, but company representatives earlier this year told What Now Atlanta spring 2019 is likely.
