Swig looks to be ramping up its entry into the Atlanta market, with plans for another location after the recent reveal of a Swig heading to Brookhaven. The dirty soda brand has proposed a new location at 2960 North Druid Hills Road, with plans to demolish the current building and replace it with a 1,000-square-foot building with a double drive-through, according to reporting by Tomorrow’s News Today Atlanta. Construction on the site would begin next spring, with a target opening in fall 2026, according to the proposal.
The Utah-based brand has been making waves in markets across the country as it has expanded in recent years, mainly through a franchise model that emphasizes stores with limited square footage and popular drive-through lanes.
The brand now has more than 120 locations across 16 states. It is expected to chart a path for growth in the coming years, especially with the recent addition of Todd Smith as the president of the brand and veteran franchise developer Shannon Swenson as the chief of franchise partnerships.
“We’re at a major moment for dirty soda,” Alex Dunn, CEO of Swig, said in a recent release announcing the corporate additions. “People crave playful, personalized drinks, and Swig is here to deliver — coast to coast.”
Swig’s dirty sodas include concoctions of soda, flavors, spices, fruit and other customizations. Menu items include specialty drinks like Dr. Spice (with Dr. Pepper, cinnamon, coconut and half and half), Princess Peach (with Dr. Pepper, peach and coconut cream) and This Bliss (with diet coke, cranberry and fresh lime). Other Swig offerings include water-based Refreshers, energy drinks called Revivers and limited dessert options.
