Ted’s Montana Grill is looking to expand in the state. It has plans to open a location at Beechwood Shopping Center in Athens next summer, according to a recent LinkedIn announcement.
The forthcoming Athens location is not the only local expansion planned for the brand. What Now Atlanta reported earlier this fall that there is a new Ted’s Montana Grill on the way to Marietta Square. That location will open in 2027.
Currently, Ted’s Montana Grill has 11 locations in the Greater Atlanta area, including spots in Alpharetta, Buford, Cumming, Kennesaw, Lawrenceville, Marietta, Peachtree City and Peachtree Corners. The brand has a total of 38 locations across Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Montana, North Carolina, New York, Ohio, Tennessee and West Virginia.
“Each restaurant is designed with its community in mind. We are a collection of individual community restaurants and operate with an independent approach,” co-founder and CEO George McKerrow told What Now Atlanta via email in a previous interview. “Everything is made fresh, from scratch, in small batches throughout the day — no restaurant uses a microwave. We also partner with local businesses whenever possible, incorporating neighborhood flavors into the dining experience through local brews, bourbons, farm-fresh produce and supporting important community organizations and events.”
Ted’s locations often offer a rustic design with wood and leather elements. The menu offers American cuisine, including bison, burgers, chicken sandwiches, steak and salads. The brand is best known for its bison.
