The new concept would replace Buckhead’s Aura Tea Lounge.

Danny Song, the restauranteur behind Thai 5 Atlanta in Little Five Points, is planning a sister concept for Buckhead called Tam Sung.

The restaurant would be situated at 3226 Roswell Road NW in space formerly occupied by Aura Tea Lounge, according to plans filed earlier this year with City of Atlanta. The short-lived Aura replaced an antiques store in 2015.

An estimated $120,000 could be spent converting the tea shop into Song’s newest eatery, according to the permit application.

While details around the forthcoming concept are scarce, a Thai 5 Atlanta employee Friday did confirmed plans for Tam Sung in a telephone conversation with What Now Atlanta (WNA.)

Song did not immediately return WNA’s request for comment.
