UPDATE (Jan. 13, 2012):Cafe At Pharr opening its fifth location at Vinings Jubilee

Vinings Jubilee, a shopping center located in the Vinings Village since October 1986, is losing one of its long-standing restaurants.

Terri Hilderhoff, property manager at the shopping center, announced Tuesday at a Vinings Business Association luncheon, that The Grape closed its doors as of Dec. 31, Smyrna-Vinings Patch first reported.

“Another restaurant” will replace The Grape, according to Patch’s report.

Shoppe of Vinings, a gift store a few doors down from The Grape’s space (opened in 1991), will also close, Smyrna-Vinings Patch notes.

The gift shop is hosting a liquidation sale where nearly “75 percent of the merchandise had already been moved off the shelves.”

  • Shoppe of Vinings isn’t in the Vinings Jubille, it’s down the street on Cobb Parwkay. Are you talking about that store, or are you talking about Limetree, which is next to the Grape?

  • Retail in Atlanta is in a pathetic state right now. Closings everyday. Only things opening are the discount stores like TJ Maxx, Dollar General, etc.
