A new concept, The Grotto Outdoor Bar and Lounge, is heading to 381 Marietta St., according to a recent permit.

The spot will serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, according to the permit. The restaurant will offer no indoor food preparation and will instead feature rotating independently owned and operated mobile food trucks. The permit calls for minor renovations to the space, as well.

Local restaurateur Shema Fulton is behind the forthcoming concept. She is also behind Baltimore Crab & Seafood, Garden Parc and Pearl Restaurant & Lounge, which is currently closed due to a fire.

What Now Atlanta has reached out to Fulton for further details on The Grotto and its opening timeline. Stay tuned for updates.
