The culinary scene in Atlanta is soon to get another upgrade as new restaurant concepts are on the way. The lineup includes both brand-new concepts and expansions from familiar local names.

Upcoming Restaurants in Atlanta

New coffee shops, gelato spots, pizzerias, and more are preparing to welcome diners across Atlanta. Each concept brings a distinct offering to Atlanta’s growing dining landscape. Here are the upcoming openings to watch:

The Upper Room

The popular coffee-and-cocktail spot in Ponce City Market, The Upper Room, is expanding. A second location is on the way and will open this spring at Colony Square in Midtown. The new location will also introduce additions to the brand’s signature menu.

Owners Kelsey Maynor and Shakirah DeMesier  say they found the large outdoor area at Colony Square appealing. The new space offers room to grow while continuing to serve favorites like the espresso martini. Read more about the opening here.

Refuge Coffee Co.

Refuge Coffee Co. is opening its fourth retail location in Lulah Hills this spring. The nonprofit coffee brand has been operating for about 10 years while growing its footprint. The brand trains and employs resettled refugees and immigrants.

The brand is converting a former Meineke shop for the new location. It will feature a sleek design with large glass garage doors and will join the existing tenants at EDENS soon. Read more about the opening here.

Joupe Jeht

Joupe Jeht will soon be serving its Cambodian delicacies at a brick-and-mortar location. Aiming to open this year, the spot will be located in Jiles Plaza at 3055 N. Main St. It is ready to create a warm space where diners can enjoy the vibrant flavors of Cambodian homestyle food.

The space is under construction, with more details expected to be announced soon. Joupe Jeht will serve its menu in the new space, including tender beef sticks, spring rolls, nom pao, chicken curry, and sticky rice. Read more about the opening here.

Firepit Pizza Tavern

Firepit Pizza Tavern is ready to expand and will open its second location soon. Located in Lulah Hills in Decatur, it is expected to open alongside the first wave of tenants in Q1 of 2027. The new space will replicate the neighborhood tavern atmosphere of the Grant Park location.

The new spot spans a 3,300-square-foot space at Lulah Hills. The menu includes signature sandwiches, salads, firepit pizzas, and appetizers. Read more about the opening here.

Honeysuckle Gelato

Lulah Hills is also welcoming Honeysuckle Gelato in Q1 2027. The brand currently has six locations across Georgia and North Carolina, and this Decatur location will soon join the list. Honeysuckle Gelato continues its expansion with plans to expand further and join the forthcoming Upper West Market this spring.

The brand is known for its delicious gelato and sorbet that come in different flavors. It also offers baked goods, gelato sandwiches, beverages, and more. Read on about the opening here.
