‘Modern American’ pizzeria coming soon to mixed-use development.
Thirteen Pies is moving forward with plans to open its first Atlanta location in the new Buckhead Atlanta development.
The “modern American” pizzeria will open at the mixed-use project Oct. 7, a company spokesperson confirmed with What Now Atlanta (WNA) in an email Thursday.
The restaurant, headed by executive chef Brandon Wolff, will feature handmade Italian cuisine like wood-fired pizzas, salads, and pasta dishes.
Wolff, a Texas native, joins Thirteen Pies after his work with Lettuce Entertain You restaurant Osteria Via Stato, a casual Italian tavern, and La Madia, a modern Italian-American restaurant, both in Chicago.
The menu features twelve pies and the pizzeria’s namesake and rotating special, the thirteenth pie, one of a handful of seasonal dishes highlighted daily on the restaurant’s chalkboard wall. Wolff’s menu also includes dishes inspired by local growers and purveyors, according to the release.
Designed by Los Angeles-based Pleskow Architects, the space is “rustic” throughout the pizzeria’s 123-seat dining room and 21-seat bar.
