Triple Jay’s Pizza, a pizzeria on wheels, is going brick-and-mortar.

The Fayetteville-based food truck is in permitting with the City of Atlanta to replace the now-shuttered Cactus House in Midtown.

Owner LaSonia Terrence (shown above in the space for the first time) doesn’t expect much work in converting what was most recently a quick-service Mexican eatery into the new Triple Jay’s Pizza.

“Our location is a second-generation restaurant so we are prayerful that this buildout will go quickly,” Terrence in an email told What Now Atlanta Sunday.

The restauranteur is “hopeful to be open by mid-December, 2019, and no later than early January 2020.”

Triple Jay’s Pizza will be situated in the newish Azure on The Park apartment complex neighboring Pita Mediterranean Street Food near Piedmont Park.

In addition to its pizzas—like the Chicken Alfredo and The Meats—Triple Jay’s Pizza also serves hot wings and fries.

Its new Midtown home will offer outside seating for dining al fresco.
