Eatery aims to open this fall at 1100 Peachtree.
Buckhead favorite daytime eatery Joy Cafe confirmed to What Now Atlanta (WNA) last month that the restaurant is planning a Midtown move.
Now, the restaurant has announced an exact address, as reported by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Joy Cafe’s new location would operate out of a spot adjacent to Oceanaire Seafood Room in the 1100 Peachtree building.
The move could be completed by October, according to the ABC.
Notoriously increasing rent prices have been squeezing the restaurant out of its current location at 316 Pharr Road in central Buckhead.
Joy Cafe’s Midtown location is planning to serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, late night eats, and “twists on classic cocktails.”
Do you think the restaurant will do well at this location? Tell us below…
I’m a big fan of Joy Cafe and only go every now and then if I can show up 15-20 minutes before it opens. I simply don’t have the time to sit around for an hour waiting to have breakfast, no matter how delicious it may be. Hopefully their new space will have increased capacity. That said, Midtown is a gamble – I think this style restaurant would do better in Virginia-Highland or Inman Park.
This is a great place for Joy Cafe. I hope they locked in a long term lease.
