Restaurant replacing P’cheen in Old Fourth Ward.

After What Now Atlanta (WNA) uncovered in June the name of the the restaurant concept replacing P’cheen (P’cheen shuttered after eight years) in the Old Fourth Ward, details around the concept surfaced Tuesday.

“The contemporary American restaurant,” at 701 Highland Avenue, is scheduled to open mid-August, Last Word’s owner Bernard Moussa (formerly of Woodfire Grill), told Atlanta Magazine this week.

“The restaurant’s name is a reference to the ‘Last Word’ cocktail, made with equal parts of gin, chartreuse, maraschino liqueur, and fresh lime juice. Moussa says that he and his partners Matt Booth and Brian Stranger intend to apply a similar philosophy to Last Word, focusing equally on food, drinks, service, and environment.”

Atlanta Magazine has all of the details here.
