One of Atlanta’s favorite restaurateurs is developing his third concept.
Tom Murphy, owner of Murphy’s and Paces & Vine, this past fall purchased the space formerly occupied by Rosebud at 1397 North Highland Avenue Northeast in Morningside.
According to a Facebook page, the new concept will be called Morningside Kitchen. A recorded message that plays when calling the number listed on the Facebook page says that the restaurant will be open this Spring.
The restaurant will be the owner’s second new concept in two years after Paces & Vine opened in October 2014. Murphy’s has been a Virginia Highland’s staple since the 1980s.
Luellen Marshall, owner of the now closed Avondale Estates eatery The Bishop, appears to be managing the staffing of Morningside Kitchen, according to a post on Monday. A recently-announced new concept, The Rising Son, will replace The Bishop this year.
Tom Murphy was not available for comment.
