NYC’s Beloved Van Leeuwen Ice Cream Comes to Atlanta
Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is a brand that has a national presence with scoop shops in various cities. The New York-based brand has scoop shops across major U.S. cities and is known for inventive dairy and vegan flavors. he scoop shop will open July 11 on the ground floor of Ponce City Market.
The shop is at 619 Ponce De Leon Ave. NE, Suite B109, Atlanta, GA 30308. Guests can visit the shop throughout the week, at the following hours:
- Monday-Friday from 11 a.m.-10 p.m.
- Saturday-Sunday from 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
The Van Leeuwen team is excited to officially plant roots in Atlanta. Ben Van Leeuwen, co-founder and CEO, said, “We believe great ice cream starts with great ingredients, and we can’t wait for Atlantans to experience what we’re all about.”

Flavors and Grand Opening Celebrations By Van Leeuwen in Atlanta
Van Leeuwen is kicking things off with a grand opening celebration. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, guests can enjoy ice cream scoops for $1. The first 100 guests will receive a free Van Leeuwen tote bag.
A highlight of the opening is the limited-edition Bomb Biscuit sundae, which is a collaboration between Van Leeuwen Ice Cream and MICHELIN-recognized Bomb Biscuit Co. The sundae features one scoop of Van Leeuwen Honeycomb, half of a Bomb Biscuit chocolate chip biscuit, salted caramel, and whipped cream.
“Collaborating with Van Leeuwen for this sundae has been such a fun and delicious experience,” said Erika Council, founder of Bomb Biscuit Co.
The Ponce City Market location will serve a lineup of signature flavors and treats, including:
