Vesuvio Pizzeria Napoletana opened in Kennesaw in January 2022. Now, the brand is seeking its first expansion, with plans to open in Powder Springs, according to a recent Instagram announcement. The spot will open in a nearly 2,300-square-foot space at 4469 Marietta St.

Massimo and Lindsay Andreozzi told What Now Atlanta that they were drawn to the space because their first location was relatively small and this forthcoming spot will allow them to build upon that initial location in Kennesaw.

“The location [in Kennesaw] went really well, so we want something bigger and a better place,” Massimo said. “We found Powder Springs, which is growing a lot, and it was a good opportunity.”

Expect the space and the menu to look very similar to the Kennesaw location. The menu features authentic Italian pizza, with options like margherita, diavola (with San Marzano tomatoes, Vesuvio cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, spicy salami and Calabrese hot peppers) and Pompeii (with San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, ricotta, sweet salami, parmesan and olive oil). The menu also features other Italian dishes such as pasta, calzones and appetizers like focaccia.

At the Powder Spring location, the team will be adding more gelato choices to the menu.

Massimo said their goal is to be as authentic as possible, even shipping in ingredients from Italy.

“We are trying to bring a little taste of Naples, Italy,” Lindsay said. “In Powder Springs, there are a lot of chain restaurants. We’d like to bring something authentic and locally-owned.”

They hope to open the new location in January.
