Waffle House could open its newest metro-Atlanta location in West Midtown on Northside Drive.

The Norcross-based breakfast joint Tuesday filed a building permit application with City of Atlanta to demolish the Central Auto Sales building on Northside drive so Waffle House can build a new restaurant from the ground up on its land.

The breakfast all-day eatery will spend an estimated $60,000 to “scatter, smother, and cover” the 1,200-square-foot used automobile dealership structure, at 1099 Northside Drive, according to the application.

A permit for the physical construction of the Waffle House has not yet been filed.
