Hospitality brand Chubby Cattle is bringing one of their concepts to Atlanta.

According to a building permit application filed with the City of Atlanta, Wagyu House is underway at 1042 Northside Drive NW in West Midtown as part of The Interlock mixed-use district.

The restaurant will be 17,000 square feet and feature a 7,000-square-foot rooftop outdoor dining space.

Chubby Cattle is a hospitality brand founded by David Zhao and Haibin Yang that includes sister restaurant brands Wagyu House, The X Pot and NIKU X. The company aims to “disrupt the traditional Asian restaurant industry by integrating cutting edge technology and Michelin level customer service.”

Zhao told What Now Atlanta that the vibrant food scene of the city is what made Atlanta a great place to bring the Wagyu House concept, as well as a partnership forged with the landlord at this particular spot.

The restaurant will source fresh Wagyu straight from their farms, including top-grade A5 Wagyu and certified Kobe beef. Diners can also expect caviar and a variety of live seafood.

“Patrons can anticipate a menu reminiscent of our famed Wagyu House in Chicago,” Zhao said.

Wagyu House Atlanta is on track to open its doors in early Q3 of 2024.
