Carrot Dog

The Container Courtyard at Pittsburgh Yards will welcome Carrot Dog’s first brick-and-mortar location. The brand, which is expected to open later this spring, offers a twist on the classic American hot dog. The plant-based brand will join other upcoming businesses, including Black Box Cafe, Adam J’s Grilled Cheese, and more.

Launched by Kemi Bennings, the brand focuses on offering healthier food options to the community. At Carrot Dog, a whole organic carrot replaces the traditional hot dog, with menu items such as the Slaw Dog, the Italian, and Backyard BBQ. Read more about the opening here.

Wayback Burgers

Fast-casual chain Wayback Burgers is coming to Locust Grove. The brand plans to open the new location later this year with franchise owner Willie Watson. With more than four decades of experience in the QSR field, Watson’s expertise blends with the brand’s authenticity in the new location. The chain operates more than 170 locations across 35 states.

The new restaurant spans over 1,800 square feet and features a patio. The menu offers the brand’s signatures, such as the “Cheeeesy,” alongside hand-dipped milkshakes, cheesesteaks, and more. Read more about the opening here.

Peyton’s Pie Company

Homestead at Hog Mountain is welcoming several food and beverage concepts, including Peyton’s Pie Company. The wood-fired pizzeria is bringing its delicacies to the upcoming destination. It will be the third spot for the brand, joining its existing locations in Flowery Branch and Gainesville.

Better Days is moving to Homestead at Hog Mountain with its sister concept, Peyton’s Pie Company. The cocktail bar based in Flowery Branch is a beloved spot for many. The concept will open a second location at Homestead at Hog Mountain.
