The restaurant listed as Street Cafe on a Canton in Roswell is known as Nine Street Kitchen. It is not a typo from this blog, it is written that way on Fulton County’s review. Kind of shady that people wouldn’t recognize the name of the restarant with that awful score and still eat there.
Health inspections are so completely bogus. I’ve been in the service industry for 10 years and I am here to let you this system is all kinds of messed up. Each health inspector, though I’m sure they have specific guidelines to adhere to, has different preferences on what they want to scrutinize. I’ll give you an example. A restaurant I used to work for would constantly lose points if every single product used in the kitchen wasn’t labeled, dated and rotated properly. Another restaurant I worked for never dated or labeled anything and never lost a single point for it, but did lose points for things like trashcans not being covered. WTF. It’s inconsistent and extremely easy to fail depending on the inspector. What’s more concerning to me is that their are restaurants who receive perfect scores when there is certainly room for improvement when it comes to the sanitary conditions.
