The concert venue, eatery is scheduled to open December 2016.

Business partners Carlon Bellamy and Napheis Heard are looking to open a new concept, Live Edge Restaurant and Bar in West End, before the year-end.

The concert venue and eatery, at 792 Cascade Ave SW, could open December 15, Bellamy told What Now Atlanta in a telephone interview late last week.

“Live Edge Restaurant and Bar is going to showcase local band entertainment with a musical-focus in the Blues, Jazz and R&B genres,” Bellamy said.

The concept gets its name from “live edge” or “natural edge,” a style of furniture where the carpenter incorporates the natural edge of the wood into the design of the piece.

The bar, Live Edge Restaurant’s centerpiece, would be constructed using the live edge method along with the venue’s tables with seating for 199 guests including the outdoor patio area, and a stage for the performers.

The full-bar would offer “generously priced” cocktails and the menu would include entrées such as Korean short ribs, twin lobster tail and the “Live Edge Baked potato.”

“I want [Live Edge Restaurant] to be the spot for people to enjoy live music and a great entrée.”

Live Edge Restaurant hopes to be open Monday through Sunday for dinner from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday brunch would be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
