Westside Paper, the adaptive reuse of one of the last large historical warehouses in West Midtown, will have its grand opening on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023.
The celebration will feature food from Elsewhere Brewing, Boxcar Betty’s, El Santo Gallo, King of Pops, as well as music, games, inflatables for kids and the opening of covered pickleball courts. The festivities begin at noon and continue until 7 p.m.
“We are thrilled to announce retail openings in Westside Paper, where local talent and creativity converge to deliver a new and unique shopping and dining experience,” Westbridge Managing Partner Chris Faussemagne said in a press release. “The revitalization of this historical campus demonstrates a commitment to preserving Atlanta’s character while embracing its ever-evolving spirit.”
Westbridge is a boutique real estate development company.
Elsewhere Brewing anchors the mixed-use development at 950 West Marietta Street. Owners and operators Sara and Sam Kazmer launched the brewery after spending 18 months traveling around the world learning about beer.
Westside Paper will also be home to the second location of Pancake Social, the Ponce City Market restaurant and coffeehouse. Co-founded by Dan Jacobson (formerly of Chick-Fil-A), entrepreneur Steven Chan (Tin Drum) and Tony Riffel, it serves breakfast items, sandwiches, healthy bowls, fresh juices, specialty coffees and brunch cocktails.
Coffee will also be available at Westside Paper thanks to Octane Coffee, founded by Riffel on the Westside in 2003. He is bringing his expertise back to the market after selling the beloved coffee brand in 2017.
Several note-worthy chefs will be featured at the development, including at Bar Diver, an Asian seafood restaurant from Richard Tang, and El Santo Gallo, from Chef Santiago Gomez, known for his restaurant Palo Santo.
Other concepts at Westside Paper include Ancestral Bottle Shop + Market, the brainchild of Grant Park restaurant Patria owner Roxana Aguirre, and Boxcar Betty’s, Charleston-based gourmet fried chicken sandwich purveyor.
Westside Paper is on the future Atlanta BeltLine connector trail called The Spur, which is scheduled to start construction early next year. Located across from the King Plow Arts Center and adjacent to Puritan Mill, it is within walking distance of the Howell Mill Road commercial district.
