Expect to see many more Whataburger locations in Georgia over the next few years.

Multi-unit franchise group Made To Order Holdings is bringing several locations to the Peach State, with the next ones gearing up in Conyers and Fayetteville.

Scott Jordan-Wheeler, vice president of operations at Made To Order Holdings, told What Now Atlanta the new locations broke ground this week. They are tentatively expected to open in May and June.

Made To Order Holdings is also the team behind the Whataburger restaurants in Covington (11200 Town Center Drive) and Monroe (701 Pavilion Pkwy).

Whataburger made its metro Atlanta debut in 2022 with a location in Kennesaw. This past week, the chain celebrated its 1,000 location overall with a new corporate-owned location right here in Atlanta at Akers Mill Square.

Whataburger CEO Ed Nelson has said that the company is eyeing 50 locations in the state over the next five years, Atlanta Business Chronicle reports.

Whataburger was founded in 1950 in Corpus Christi, Texas, and is now headquartered in San Antonio. In addition to burgers, the menu includes chicken, fries, onion rings, salads and shakes.
