Buckhead is getting a second Wildleaf restaurant.

David Morse and Randy Lewis, partners of the quick-service salad concept, earlier this week filed plans with the City of Atlanta to open the “satellite” Wildleaf in Atlanta Plaza, at 950 East Paces Ferry Road NE.

Wildleaf is being added as an amenity to the office tower which is undergoing an overhaul of its public spaces including the lobby where the restaurant will be situated.

“We’re entirely dependant on the lobby renovation for our opening,” Morse told What Now Atlanta in a telephone interview Saturday morning.

“The best-case scenario is September but it could be October.”

The Atlanta Plaza Wildleaf is significantly smaller than the original Terminus outpost at 851 square feet versus 1,200-square-feet.

But that’s all part of the plan.

The Terminus location will “almost act like a commissary” for the Atlanta Plaza outpost.

Coffee—utilizing a soon-to-be-announced local roaster—and breakfast items will be added to the menu, in addition to beer and wine; something not available at the nearby Terminus flagship.

“I’m kind of a beer nerd, so I think that’ll be fun for me,” Morse said.

Atlanta will see more Wildleafs in the coming years as Morse and his team are “determined to grow this thing.”

A Midtown location is “imminent” and could open in fall 2019.

“The lease is fully negotiated and just needs to be countersigned by the landlord.”

While Morse couldn’t disclose the location, he said the “forthcoming mixed-use” will be making tenant announcements soon.
