Local pop-up Blended Together Juice is opening its first brick-and-mortar retail location at Upper West Market when the market opens this spring, according to a recent announcement. The brand, helmed by Keymanna Paulas, offers Caribbean-inspired cold pressed juices.
Paulas draws inspiration from her own background, rooted in Haiti and Trinidad, when crafting the recipes, aiming to offer a tasty treat combined with health benefits.
“I decided to share some of the products I’ve grown up with and that I’ve been making for myself and my family with others,” Paulas told What Now Atlanta.
Beverage offerings include the GinPin, an anti-inflammatory beverage made with ginger and pineapple; KingPin, which is made with kale, ginger and pineapple; and Sai-Wat, which is a watermelon and mint hydration mix.
“They’re all tasty recipes. They aren’t watered down,” Paulas said. “The goal for me is to offer people an introduction to a healthier option.”
For Paulas, the Upper West Market offered a good environment for small businesses looking for an affordable way to launch a brick-and-mortar for their business. The Upper West Market lists Blended Together Juice in Stall 2 at the yet-to-open market, alongside other local retail destinations. The market does not have an official opening date yet, but Paulas is hoping for April.
“This is the springboard for the brand,” Paulas said. “We have been working the farmers markets in Chamblee and Brookhaven so we have a nice following, so what the Upper West Market offers us is a home and a springboard to grow affordably.”
Other offerings will include Xocolatl Chocolate, The Boiler Room by Hop City, Dips Kitchen, Bellwood Coffee and Honeysuckle Gelato.
