Decatur clothing retailer announces scheduled closure through Facebook.

Blue Caboose, a baby and toddler resale clothing store, is closing.

The Decatur clothing retailer located at 308 W. Ponce de Leon Avenue announced it would close August 27 in a Facebook posting Sunday.

According to the post, Blue Caboose is closing because its owner has accepted a new job.

“Blue Caboose is saying goodbye on Saturday, August 27. I recently received a job offer which, after a lot of thought, I decided was too good to turn down,” according to the post. “Please stop in before we close so I can thank you personally for your support.”

Decatur Metro has posted details about the clothing retailer’s going out of business sale:

Our closing sale starts Tuesday, August 9th. In special appreciation of our consignors,we are offering you 50% OFF purchases made using store credit. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about your account. We will close at 6:00 PM on Saturday, August 27. Thank you for your support and friendship. I look forward to seeing around Decatur.
