The antiques shop is replacing Aaron’s in Piedmont Village January 15.

Cobb Antique Mall, at 119 Cobb Pkwy, is relocating in 2018 after more than 15 years in business.

The antiques shop recently filed a permit application with Cobb County to buildout space in Piedmont Village shopping center, at 2800 Canton Road in Marietta, for its new store.

The retailer is opening in suite 900, a 45,000-square-foot space previously occupied by Aaron’s. In its new home, Cobb Antique Mall will become the Piedmont Village anchor tenant.

Cobb Antique Mall co-owner Tracey Weber Monday confirmed the news in an email to What Now Atlanta. Weber is one of three owners including Janie Bendock and Trudy Brown.

“The new location offers more up-to-date amenities for our dealers and customers,” Weber said.

Those amenities include things like new flooring, bathrooms, and a lounge and snack area, she said. Not to mention, the Piedmont Village space is 10,000 square feet larger than Cobb Antique Mall’s current location.

Weber plans on opening the new location by January 15, 2018.
