Plans are underway for a convenience store at 180 University Ave. SW to be demolished and built anew.

A building permit application filed with the City of Atlanta calls for the “demolition of the existing convenience store and rebuilding of a new 3,376 SQ FT convenience store on the same site.”

A shuttered Texaco is currently located at the property.

Majors Management appears to be the team behind the development. The Lawrenceville-based property management company operates convenience stores in several states.

It’s not yet clear what store will be going in at the site. Majors Management could not immediately be reached for comment.

The site is located near the Peoplestown neighborhood and the Southside BeltLine.
