Plans filed for new Touched By An Angel Beauty School outpost.

An exciting concept is coming to the Ashview Heights neighborhood.

Touched By An Angel Beauty School is opening an Atlanta outpost at 970 Martin L King Jr Drive Southwest, according to a commercial alteration permit filed with City of Atlanta this week.

The school will occupy the second floor of the three-story building located at the address, in a 2,976 square foot space.

Owner Patricia Thompson is the latest cast member of the WE TV series “Cutting It In The Atl,” Season 2.

Thompson opened the doors to her first salon in 1995 and grew from one location housing four stylists to 13 locations with 60 hair stylists. She saw a need for more affordable hair extensions in the beauty market, leading her to develop in the early 1990s what is now known as the “50 dollar weave.” Billboards advertising the concept can be spotted around Atlanta.
