Jessie Nguyen, who started out as the owner of Sugarcoat in Virginia-Highland and expanded with Élan Beauty Bar in Duluth, is planning her third nail salon in the city. Élan Nails and Beauty will open in a 2,600-square-foot space in AMLI Brookhaven at 1400 Lake Hearn Dr. NE.
The high-end nail salon will aim to bring a spa experience to the neighborhood. Nguyen wants to focus on building relationships with clients to enhance the customer experience — something she feels is needed more in the nail salon industry.
“We wanted to expand into the city with the full spa experience,” Nguyen told What Now Atlanta. “In the nail salon industry, it’s more in and out rather than building a relationship with your clients.”
The forthcoming location will offer services such as lash extensions, waxing, manicures and pedicures. Élan Nails and Beauty will offer specialty pedicures such as coffee, green tea and orange citrus pedicures that will include a cocktail service.
The Brookhaven location will open in the spring. Nguyen said she is hoping for a May opening.
“We want to expand throughout the city and provide more relationship building so when clients come in they feel at home,” Nguyen said.
